Founded in 2020 out of a desire to break the mold of standard catering, TRK was built on a simple premise: serving specialist, high-craft foods to local communities that are rarely found on standard menus and far too complex for people to easily cook on their own.
Chef Marlan Pather
Marlan’s culinary journey didn't begin in a corporate commercial kitchen—it started in his grandmother's kitchen. Growing up surrounded by the rich aromas, complex spice blends, and deep communal traditions of family cooking, a lifelong obsession with food was born in his early childhood days.
To refine his natural instincts with world-class discipline, Marlan formally trained at the prestigious
Prue Leith Culinary Institute, graduating in 2016. There, he mastered the rigorous, precise techniques of French and Mediterranean cuisine—learning how structure, timing, heat, and flavor balance elevate a meal from simple sustenance to high art.
Yet, despite his classical European training, Marlan’s truest culinary superpower remains anchored in his homegrown roots. The soul-deep mastery of authentic Indian cuisine wasn’t learned in a textbook; it was passed down directly through generations from his mother and grandmother—making it one of his most cherished talents.
